Dymchuk Gallery will present Ukrainian art in Basel
From 16 to 21 June Dymchuk Gallery presents three prominent Ukrainian artists with their latest output reflecting Ukrainian straggle for freedom and democracy.
Vasiliy Tsagolov was the one who documented the growing strains in Ukrainian society. He has been working since 2012 on a series of monumental paintings called “The Specter of Revolution” exhibited just a month before the unrest began at his solo show at Dymchuk Gallery. Igor Gusev manages to visually identify the moment when the perceptible Symbol was created in an opposite process of disbandment, transformation and metamorphosis. Arsen Savadov series “Donbas-Chocolate” depicts miners from the Eastern industrial region of Ukraine which become battlefield nowadays.
