Dymchuk Gallery invites you to attend an exhibition of Nazar Bilyk and Etchingroom #1 (Kristina Yarosh, Anna Khodkova) on Kyiv Art Fair, May 23 – 27.
Artists turn to the material remnants of memory, in particular to the Soviet monumental heritage, but deconstruct and prepare it, trying to separate the political and aesthetic. In their practice, Christina Yarosh and Anna Hodkova focus on the study of urban landscape and information signs on buildings, while Nazar Bilyk creates a very ambivalent sculpture that can simultaneously be perceived as the remains of the past, or a new form for the future monument.
